DONALD RAY FISHER OBITUARY

October 22, 1932 – October 2, 2019

 

 

Donald Ray Fisher, 86, of Manhattan, KS, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

 

Don was born in Manhattan, KS on October 22, 1932, to Florence (Turner) and Ernest Herbert Fisher. He attended Manhattan High School and also Kansas State University.

 

He worked in Maintenance at the KSU Union until he retired.

 

Don was a member of the Masonic lodge,-Manhattan (Past MasterX2), Royal Arch Masons (Past High Priest), Council of Cryptic Masons Past Master, Knight Templar (Past Commander), ISIS Shrine, OES- Manhattan (Past Patron), Topeka Scottish Rite, Optimist Club-Manhattan, Cookie League (ages 10-12) and a Coach for 30 years,

 

Donald is  survived by his sister, Janice (Bob) Wilcox, of Tehachapi, CA., his eight nieces & nephews,

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Herbert Wayne Fisher.

 

Memorials in his name may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Manhattan, KS.

 

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Carlson’s Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on October 9, 2019, at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson’s Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation.
